Mohs Micrographic Surgery
Mohs surgery is a precise surgical technique used to treat skin cancer. During Mohs surgery, thin layers of cancer-containing skin are progressively removed and examined until only cancer-free tissue remains.
The operation
The operation is done in the treatment room. You take place in a comfortable surgery chair.
Expected results
The Mohs technique is especially used to operate skin cancer in the face with an unpredictable growing pattern.
The risks
The risk of a serious complication is minimal. If you are allergic to anaesthetic fluids you have to let us know every time.
Bleeding
In case of bleeding, press your flat hand firmly and continuously on the bandage for 20 minutes.
Infection
If after some days the operated area starts to hurt and looks red, or you get a fever, contact us.
After the operation
Take it easy; do not lift heavy objects; do not bend forward; do not do sports; avoid heavy perspiring.

Very professional & thorough. And all staff was very empathetic, friendly and professional. Mohs Clinics have always been very highly rated. Special thanks to Dr. Muche, he is a fantastic doctor.
Every step of the way the staff was completely professional about what was involved. Dr. Van Rengen is great! She removed a basel cell carcinoma as painless as possible, with good results. There is about a 2 percent chance it’ll come back in this region again. If it does I’m glad to know where it will be cared for quickly and professional.
